Christopher T. Jones

jones-bioChristopher Talmage Jones was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in the Pasadena Stake, the son of Vera Jean and J. Talmage Jones. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1966.

He spent the great majority of his professional career in the investment securities industry with Dean Witter and Morgan Stanley before retirement in 1999.

His life long interest in Mormon history began in 1957 with visits to historical sites. That interest continues today as a collector of books and LDS historical memorabilia. He purchased the Josiah Stowell home in Afton, NY and owns property in Nauvoo, Illinois.

From 1961-63, Christopher served an LDS Mission in the Central States (Independence Missouri) under the leadership of G. Carlos Smith. The city of Independence recognized him in 2000 for his generous contributions to marking Mormon historic sites.

He enjoys memberships in the Palmyra, NY; Afton, NY; Susquehanna, PA; James-Younger Gang, Liberty, MO; and San Juan Capistrano, CA Historical Societies. He also participates in Mormon Battalion reenactments and is a member of the Mormon History Association.

He is married to the former Louise Rolapp. They are the parents of 4 children and 11 grandchildren.
